Burn The Fat Review – Nutrition Info YOU NEED To Know

Get the idea out of your head that this whole fitness thing needs to be hard.  Burn The Fat is an e-book written by natural bodybuilder and fellow personal trainer Tom Venuto that explains how to gain muscle quickly and lose fat in an easy to understand (and easy to apply!) way.  Tom is a guy that walks his talk, and stays in fantastic shape using his Burn The Fat methods.

I came across this e-book on the web awhile ago and purchased it on the spot after reading some of the sales page.

Crazy abs

A quick pic of my abs. The principles in Burn The Fat gave me a big advantage to get in this shape!

When I first read about it, it sounded fairly “hyped” like many products in this industry, but many of the points Tom brought up made a lot of sense to me.  At the time, I would’ve considered myself an “intermediate” level bodybuilder.  I had been serious about working out for about 3 years.  I was about 195 pounds at around 8% bodyfat, and had the goal of getting larger without putting much more fat on.  This book was key to me getting to my heaviest weight at about 218 pounds of muscle at just over 9% bodyfat.

One of my biggest frustrations with this industry is all of the garbage knowledge passed around in regards to exercise and nutrition… and how THIS supplement or THAT supplement can make up for your completely useless routine or diet.

My favourite thing about this book was that it cut through the crap and gave a complete step-by-step game plan to take you from where you are now to where you want to be in a reasonable period of time.

Here’s 5 other reasons why I enjoyed this book:

  • Covered every area of fitness that I feel is important in depth – exercise, nutrition, goal setting, personal development and sleep.
  • Rolled out the facts objectively and in an unbiased fashion – it’s obvious that Tom isn’t a magazine editor trying to flog us the latest, greatest supplement.
  • It’s not an overnight fix.  Tom teaches these principles as habits to be woven into your lifestyle to lead to long-term health and physique benefits.
  • It’s simple.  Tom writes in easy to understand language and uses helpful analogies that help you grasp key concepts.  Unlike the 4-page Muscletech ads that try to confuse you with irrelevant science terminology to try to psychologically trigger you into thinking that you’re missing out on a “secret”.  Don’t be part of the herd.
  • It puts it all together.  This is an issue if you educate yourself off the Internet.  You tend to find information in bits and pieces, and while some people are good at putting the puzzle together and understanding the big picture, other people are terrible at that.  Tom lays everything out in a logical format that makes you understand exactly why we do certain things and how to do them consistently.

Even though I’m a personal trainer myself, I research nutrition and fitness almost daily, and I even took an entire year of my University education studying nutrition, I still found this book to be FAR more valuable than the $40 I put out for it.

What I Didn’t Like:

  • It’s Long. I liked how in depth it was, but it took me awhile to get through this monster and at times I was impatient .
  • Not much else… passed most of my review tests.

I would recommend this book to you if you’re looking to get more results more quickly in the health area of your life.  This is less than the price of a single personal training session but will give you a giant return on your investment when you start applying these principles.

I don’t want to be getting an e-mail from you 6 months down the road complaining about how you’re the same size or still haven’t lost that fat.  If you’re seriously committed to gaining muscle or losing fat, you should buy this book.

If you need more information and want to see how other people made out with the program, you can read more about the program.
