My Story
Born in the screaming winds of a thunderstorm turned blizzard, Scott burst into the world with the battle cry of a warrior, glittering sword in hand, ready to conquer and… alright, I’ll spare you the epic details. For now.
So how did I get involved in all this fitness and psychology stu
ff and who the hell is this guy? Good questions. Let me answer them with a short story.
I had a fairly typical childhood growing up – one sister to fight with and a couple of awesome dogs. Everything was going as well as it could.
That’s when it happened. When I was 13 years old, my mom passed away suddenly, and in the snap of my fingers, my whole life was changed irreversibly and I was sent spiralling into heavy depression and the welcome escape of online video games, which totally consumed my life for the next four years.
It took me more than four years to realize that gaming didn’t make me happy. It was just pure addiction, and the feeling of giving in to my intense desires to not face the world or the reality of my life eventually sickened me enough, both physically and emotionally, to the point where I knew I had to start making some changes and becoming healthier, or things were not going to go well for me.
Shortly after that realization, I started working out under the guidance of a few friends. I loved the feeling of blood flowing into your muscles, and soon began researching and applying everything I could. I went from a scrawny 130 pound weakling and put on over 40 pounds in my first year of working out. Ultimately I went on to weigh in at close to 220 pounds less than 5 years from that first day in the gym, all without the use of prohormones, steroids, and no fancy supplements, and keeping under 10% bodyfat throughout the whole process.
That first year
of lifting weights was incredibly life changing for me. It taught me how much control you have over your body, and as I later learned completing my psychology degree and through personal research, how much control you have over your mind. Being in incredible shape is one thing, but if you don’t have the mental strength to match your outer strength, you’re in for a lifetime of unfulfilled dreams, depression, and mediocrity as you fail to live up to your own standards.
Since that first year of transformation, I’ve just grown infinitely more driven, more hungry for knowledge, more confident in my actions and mindsets, and more passionate about helping people become the best they can be on every level than ever before.
Becoming better… That’s why you’re here, right?
You’re here because you want more out of your life – you want to live the most awesome, passionate, fulfilling life that you have available to you.
You’re here because whenever you notice the people around you going through life in a walking daze and leading a comfortable, boring life, you feel a massive fire light up in you that pushes you to take things to the next level in your own life.
You’re here because you want to be someone that inspires others and that people look to as an example of what’s possible when they throw themselves into something fully and with total commitment.
You’re here because you simply flat refuse to accept mediocrity anywhere in your life, and hunger for any knowledge or guidance on helping you do that.
That’s why I’m here too. As much as I can help you, you can help me. Comment, subscribe, connect, and make sure to contact me if I can help you in any way… welcome!
